Ali MacGraw

Elizabeth Alice MacGraw better known as Ali MacGraw is an award-winning American model, author, designer and activist for animal rights. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway '72 are some of her most famous movies. Her desire to be an artist was inspired from her childhood in an New York family of artists. She began as a photo assistant, before progressing to modeling and acting. Her first two movies, she was recognized and was awarded her the Golden Globe Award as Most Popular Young Actress. MacGraw was a worldwide star after her 1970 movie Love Story, which earned an Academy Award nomination as well as a Golden Globe. In just three films, she was voted the Top female box-office start around the globe. Handprints, signatures and footprints were made in 1972 at the Grauman's Chinese Theater. Other films she has appeared in include The Getaway Convoy Players as and the television miniseries The Winds of War. Moving Pictures, her 1991 autobiography was published. MacGraw was married three times.
